Q: who knows of a classic mustang for sale?
Does anyone know of a ford mustang in the year range of 1966 to 1969 thats for sale. it can be in bad condition, i will fix it up. and is there any benifits to having a classic mustang. any bad reasons to have one?

A: There’s always a lot of them around for sale. Just read the ads. The benefits are a very recognizable and desirable car to drive. The drawbacks is that if you get one in bad condition it can keep you broke for a long time restoring it. Theft is also a problem. Few are ever recovered as they’re usually stripped for parts.

I don’t care how damaged just able to restore

Q: Is a 1964 1/2 Mustang for sale at 8900 with 260, c4, manual steering and brakes any good?
I.e., will it be ok to drive regularly, or is it a bad idea, is the price ok (it is showroom except for some rust bubbles low on body under new paint), and what will the gas mileage be with the 260 green dot tranny, and performance. Thanks.

A: it will be great if you like driving old cars..the performance, handling, brakes and gas mileage can’t compare to newer cars, they do get their share of attention and their valve goes up instead of depreciating..
All v8’s had 5 lug wheels and all 6’s have 4 lugs..

the price is about right, but you might find one a little cheaper, the 65 289 is more desireable..

gas mileage won’t be much different from the 65, about 12 city and 16 hwy..

A: Go to Kelley’s blue book and put in the miles, options, and zip code to get an idea of what it would be worth in your area. This is a reference only. Car values are extremely subjective.

I’ve found Kelley’s blue book site to be more accurate in my area of the world than Edmund’s.

Q: Somebody’s coming to look at my mustang for sale, what are they most likely to look for?
Clean Car, Minor Nicks & Scratches. Flawless Interior… 2002 Mustang V6 Automatic

A: I look for any fluid leaks on the ground, check for dirty oil and tranny fluids, see if the engine is caked with oil, underbody rust/exhaust/muffler, look for signs of flooding, water lines on the engine, new carpeting or upholstery, rust along the door jambs and under the seats, any body repair, tire tread and mileage.
Take it for test drive and see how it handles, listen for rattles, squeaks, engine ping/knock.
I ask the seller, why is he selling it, how many owners, is there anything wrong with the car, what was repaired/replaced, has it ever been in an accident.

A: Try looking around local newspapers first so you can actually drive out and test drive the car and inspect it. Ebay is good but pictures are not always accurate, be careful for rust buckets. Craigslist is also a good search look around and compare prices because fastbacks are high in price.

Craigslist, eBay Motors, and AutoTrader Classics, and your local newspaper would be the places to look.

A: yeah but it would be like a 95 era and earlier version and you can get those anywhere like vehix.com even yahoo autos or ebay motors or craigslist most are like 5 or 6 thousand dollars

It has new head gaskets, new cylinders, new water pump. New hood and bumper and it has a v8 motor. It is nice!

The hood and bumper are worth about 1000 dollars. And the motor is out of a cobra mustang. I’ll check the milage later
